PRAY FOR THE NATION
Apa mau dibilang, kenyataan berbicara beda dilapangan.
Pembangunan hunian itu belum dikerjakan hingga Minggu (5/12). Penyebabnya apalagi kalu bukan terbentur birokrasi pemerintahan.
God still answers prayers
This will give you the chills...... ..
GOOD chills.
A young man had been to Wednesday Night Bible Study.
The Pastor had shared about listening to God and obeying the Lord's voice
The young man couldn't help but wonder, "Does God still speak to people?"
After service, he went out with some friends for coffee and pie and they discussed the message. Several different ones talked about how God had led them in different ways.
It was about ten o'clock when the young man started driving home. Sitting in his car, he just began to pray, "God...If you still speak to people, speak to me. I will listen. I will do my best to obey."
As he drove down the main street of his town, he had the strangest thought to stop and buy a gallon of milk.
He shook his head and said out loud, "God is that you?" He didn't get a reply and started on toward home.
But again, the thought, buy a gallon of milk.
The young man thought about Samuel and how he didn't recognize the voice of God, and how little Samuel ran to Eli.
"Okay, God, in case that is you, I will buy the milk." It didn't seem like too hard a test of obedience. He could always use the milk. He stopped and purchased the gallon of milk and started off toward home.
As he passed Seventh Street , he again felt the urge, "Turn Down that street."
This is crazy he thought, and drove on past the intersection.
Again, he felt that he should turn down Seventh Street .
At the next intersection, he turned back and headed down Seventh.
Half jokingly, he said out loud,
"Okay, God, I will."
He drove several blocks, when suddenly, he felt like he should stop. He pulled over to the curb and looked around. He was in a semi- commercial area of town. It wasn't the best but it wasn't the worst of neighborhoods either. The businesses were closed and most of the houses looked dark like the people were already in bed.
Again, he sensed something, "Go and give the milk to the people in the house across the street." The young man looked at the house. It was dark and it looked like the people were either gone or they were already asleep. He started to open the door and then sat back in the car seat.
"Lord, this is insane. Those people are asleep and if I wake them up, they are going to be mad and I will look stupid." Again, he felt like he should go and give the milk.
Finally, he opened the door, "Okay God, if this is you, I will go to the door and I will gi ve them the milk. If you want me to look like a crazy person, okay. I want to be obedient. I guess that will count for something, but if they don't answer right away, I am out of here."
He walked across the street and rang the bell. He could hear some noise inside. A man's voice yelled out, "Who is it? What do you want?" Then the door opened before the young man could get away.
The man was standing there in his jeans and T-shirt. He looked like he just got out of bed. He had a strange look on his face and he didn't seem too happy to have some stranger standing on his doorstep. "What is it?"
The young man thrust out the gallon of milk, "Here, I brought this to you." The man took the milk and rushed down a hallway.
Then from down the hall came a woman carrying the milk toward the kitchen. The man was following her holding a baby. The baby was crying. The man had tears streaming down his face.
The man began speaking and half crying, "We were just praying. We had some big bills this month and we ran out of money. We didn't have any milk for our baby. I was just praying and asking God to show me how to get some milk."
His wife in the kitchen yelled out, "I ask him to send an Angel with some. Are you an Angel?"
The young man reached into his wallet and pulled out all the money he had on him and put in the man's hand. He turned and walked back toward his car and the tears were streaming down his face.
He knew that God still answers prayers.
JESUS REALLY DOES LOVE YOU
Every Sunday afternoon, after the morning service at the church, the Pastor and his eleven year old son would go out into their town and hand out Gospel Tracts.
This particular Sunday afternoon, as it came time for the Pastor and his son to go to the streets with their tracts, it was very cold outside, as well as pouring down rain. The boy bundled up in his warmest and driest clothes and said; "OK dad, I'm ready." His Pastor dad asked, "Ready for what?" "Dad, it's time we gather our tracts together and go out." Dad responds, "Son, it's very cold outside and it's pouring down rain."The boy gives his dad a surprised look, asking "But Dad aren't people still going to Hell, even though it's raining?" Dad answers, "Son, I am not going out in this weather."
Despondently, the boy ask, "Dad, can I go? Please?" His father hesitated for a moment then said, "Son, you can go. Here are the tracts, be careful son." "Thanks Dad!" And with that, he was off and out into the rain. This eleven year old boy walked the streets of the town going door to door and handing everybody he met in the street a Gospel Tract.
After two hours of walking in the rain, he was soaking,bone-chilled wet and down to his VERY LAST TRACT. He stopped on a corner and looked for someone to hand a tract to, but the streets were totally deserted.
Then he turned toward the first home he saw and started up the sidewalk to the front door and rang the door bell. He rang the bell, but nobody answered. He rang it again and again, but still no one answered. He waited but still no answer.
Finally, this eleven year old trooper turned to leave, but something stopped him. Again, he turned to the door and rang the bell and knocked loudly on the door with his fist.
He waited, something holding him there on the front porch. He rang again and this time the door slowly opened. Standing in the doorway was a very sad-looking elderly lady.
She softly asked "What can I do for you son?" With radiant eyes and a smile that lit up her world, this little boy said: "Ma'am,I'm sorry if I disturbed you, but I just want to tell you that *JESUS REALLY DOES LOVE YOU* and I came to give you my very last Gospel Tract which will tell you all about JESUS and His great LOVE." With that, he handed her his last tract and turned to leave.
She called to him as he departed. "Thank you, son! And God Bless You!"
Well, the following Sunday morning in church Pastor Dad was in the pulpit. As the service began, he asked,"Does anybody have testimony or want to say anything?"
Slowly, in the back row of the church, an elderly lady stood to her feet. As she began to speak, a look of glorious radiance came from her face, "No one in this church knows me.
I've never been here before. You see, before last Sunday I was not a Christian. My husband passed on some time ago, leaving me totally alone in this world.
Last Sunday, being a particularly cold and rainy day, it was even more so in my heart that I came to the end of the line where I no longer had any hope or will to live. So I took a rope and a chair an ascended the stairway into the attic of my home. I fastened the rope securely to a rafter in the roof, then stood on the chair and fastened the other end of the rope around my neck..
Standing on that chair, so lonely and brokenhearted I was about to leap off, when suddenly the loud ringing of my doorbell downstairs startled me. I thought, "I'll wait a minute, and whoever it is will go away."
I waited and waited, but the ringing doorbell seemed to get loud er and more insistent, and then the person ringing also started knocking loudly. I thought to myself again, "Who on earth could this be? Nobody ever rings my bell or comes to see me."
I loosened the rope from my neck and started for the front door, all the while the bell rang louder and louder. When I opened the door and looked I could hardly believe my eyes, for there on my front porch was the most radiant and angelic little boy I had ever seen in my life.
His SMILE,oh, I could never describe it to you! The words that came from his mouth caused my heart that had long been dead, TO LEAP TO LIFE as he exclaimed with a cherub-like voice, "Ma'am, I just came to tell you that JESUS REALLY DOES LOVE YOU."
Then he gave me this Gospel Tract that I now hold in my hand. As the little angel disappeared back out into the cold and rain, I closed my door and read slowly every word of this Gospel Tract.
Then I went up to my attic to get my rope and chair. I wouldn't be needing them any more. You see- "I am now a Happy Child of the KING. Since the address of your church was on the back of this Gospel Tract; I have come here to personally say THANK YOU TO God's little angel who came just in the nick of time and by so doing, spared my soul from eternity in hell.
"There was not a dry eye in the church. And as shouts of praise and honor to THE KING resounded off the very rafters of the building.
Pastor Dad descended from the pulpit to the front pew where the little angel was seated.
He took his son in his arms and sobbed uncontrollably. Probably no church has had a more glorious moment, and probably this universe has never seen a Papa that was more filled with love & honor for his son... Except for One.
This Father also allowed His Son to go out into a cold and dark world.
He received His Son back with joy unspeakable, and as all of heaven Shouted praises and honor to The King, the Father sat His beloved Son on a throne far above all principality and power and every name that is named.Blessed are your eyes for reading this message. Don't let this message die, read it again and pass it to others. Thanks.
"EMPATI.."
Untuk Direnungan
Suatu malam, sepulang kerja, saya mampir di sebuah restoran cepat saji di kawasan Bintaro. Suasana sepi. Di luar hujan. Semua pelayan sudah berkemas. Restoran hendak tutup.
Sembari makan saya mulai mengamati kegiatan para pelayan restoran.
Tuhan memberkati Anda,

NEW School prayer:
Date: Mon, 7 Jun 2010
WRITTEN BY A 15 yr. Old SCHOOL KID IN ARIZONA :
New Pledge of Allegiance ?(TOTALLY AWESOME)!
Since the Pledge of Allegiance and The Lord's Prayer
are not allowed in most public schools anymore
Because the word 'God' is mentioned..... a kid in Arizona
wrote the following poem
NEW School prayer:
Now I sit me down in school
Where praying is against the rule
For this great nation under God
Finds mention of Him very odd.
If scripture now the class recites,
It violates the Bill of Rights.
And anytime my head I bow
Becomes a Federal matter now.
Our hair can be purple, orange or green,
That's no offense; it's a freedom scene..
The law is specific, the law is precise.
Prayers spoken aloud are a serious vice.
For praying in a public hall
Might offend someone with no faith at all..
In silence alone we must meditate,
God's name is prohibited by the state.
We're allowed to cuss and dress like freaks,
And pierce our noses, tongues and cheeks...
They've outlawed guns, but FIRST the Bible.
To quote the Good Book makes me liable.
We can elect a pregnant Senior Queen,
And the 'unwed daddy,' our Senior King.
It's 'inappropriate' to teach right from wrong,
We're taught that such 'judgments' do not belong...
We can get our condoms and birth controls,
Study witchcraft, vampires and totem poles..
But the Ten Commandments are not allowed,
No word of God must reach this crowd.
It's scary here I must confess,
When chaos reigns the school's a mess.
So, Lord, this silent plea I make:
Should I be shot; My soul please take!
Amen
The Problem is Islam, not Muslims by Ali Sina
What You Think Is True... Isn't.

OVER 1700 CHURCHES DESTROYED AND BURNED IN INDONESIA THE LAST 15 YEARS.
Ground Zero in Manhattan New York is talking about a "Faith Partnership".
The Muslims only use this kind of vocabulary when they are in a minority. I
have served in Indonesia for 50 years and never have I heard any Muslim Imam
talk about a "Faith Partnership" with other religions. Once Muslims become a
majority the persecution and discrimination toward non-Muslims is everywhere
and at every level in society.
It is hypocritical that the Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono
appealed to President Obama to try to stop the Quran burning in the
<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States> United States. In Yudhoyono's
Indonesia there is a great persecution for Christians and over 1700
churches have been destroyed and burned during the last 15 years including
Bibles, hymnbooks and church furniture. Pastors with their families have
been killed.
According to Compass Direct News under the administration of President
Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, who took power in October 2004, there has been 110
cases of closed or destroyed churches. This compares with 92 such cases
during the rule of his predecessor Megawati Sukarnoputri (2001-2004), 232
cases under Abdurrahman Wahid (1999-2001, 156 cases under Bachruddin Jusuf
Habibie (1998-1999) and 456 under Suharto (1967-1998). In the era of
Indonesia's first President Sukarno (1945-1967), only 2 cases of church
destruction are recorded..
Radical Muslim groups attacking churches included the Front for the Defense
of Islam (FPI) the Indonesian Mujahidin, Hizbullah Front, Muslim Clergy
Members Forum (Front Ulama Umat Islam) and the Muslim Safety Forum (Dewan
Keamanan Masjid)
1. Officially, the total number of churches closed or destroyed by Muslims
in Indonesia is at least 1700. I have translated the following list of
destroyed churches from a Center of Data and Analysis TEMPO entitled...

Extreme violence and persecution against Christians in Indonesia has taken a
new dramatic turn at the weekend as three Christian school girls were
barbarically beheaded by masked attackers. The three girls were attending a
private Christian school in the highly tense province of Central Sulawesi.
The three were attacked by unidentified assailants, and a fourth girl was
left seriously wounded. Police in the region commented that sickeningly one
of the girl's heads was taken and placed by the attackers in front of a new
Christian church, and the other two taken and placed outside the police
station. The girls were killed with machetes as they walked to school near
Poso. Religious clashes between Christians and Muslims in Poso have killed
more than 2,000 people since 1998, according to ABC News. The region is well
known for its violence between the two communities, and a sectarian war in
2001 and 2002 killed more than 1,000 people, with beheadings, burnings among

students and staff on Sunday 27 July following two nights of disturbances by
hundreds of armed Muslim protestors. At least 17 people were hurt. Two
students, Junius Kily and Jony Gontho, were returning to their dormitory on
the Friday evening when they saw a large rat in the street. Junius threw his
sandal at it, and the sandal landed on a neighbour's property. When Junius
went to retrieve it, the owner of the house cried out that he was a thief.
The local mosque began urging the residents to attack the school, and by
midnight mobs were attacking the dormitories, shouting Allahu Akhbar ("God
is great"). Stones were thrown at the main campus building, and the
protestors tried unsuccessfully to burn down one of the dormitories. They
were armed with knives and sharpened bamboo. The female students were
evacuated, but the next night a crowd besieged a women's dormitory, where
some of the male students had been transferred. The violence continued
through the night, and the police began evacuating the remaining students.

The Greatest Rescue
The miners had been trapped nearly a half-mile underground since August 5 when 700,000 tons of rock collapsed all around them. They were feared dead until Aug. 22, when they passed a note up through a thin borehole that had been drilled to their small, 50-square-meter shelter. It was feared that a rescue operation would take four months, but it in fact took just over six weeks.
Beginning at midnight Tuesday, a special 28-inch-wide capsule was lowered down a specially-drilled shaft to the men’s shelter and then raised up again with a miner inside. The 33 trips took less than 24 hours to complete, and each internationally-televised ascent was greeted with utter joy and cheers from the assembled families and public officials.
One cannot feel anything but wonder and admiration at the great professionalism displayed by the Chileans. They pulled this off not only with great engineering skill, but they dropped everything and invested everything in order to help others who needed them, including the President of Chile. This is indeed of the great rescues in human history.
